This is my third year running with the Hope Water Project. I feel blessed and priveleged to be part of this team. Last year I ran my first marathon for Hope. My sole purpose for running it was from Hope. Never in my wildest dreams would I have run a marathon. That's crazy right? lol When you give yourself completely to someone else or something else it's so rewarding. After my race I had the privelege of getting a picture with Reuben, one of the members of the Pokot tribe. I told him he inspired me and he said the same to me. It's moments like that , that change you. I will keep that memory with me forever.
This year I'm running the Detroit International Half, the Hope Water Project 5k, the Crim and the Brooksie for the Hope Water Project. I never thought I would ever run a Brooksie but here I am. HILLS!! I found out they are sponsering us so I had too.
Hope Water Project has changed my life and I will forever be grateful for the people I've met along the way, and for how it has helped me to live with purpose. I'm finally back to church and it's something that is so important to me and I look forward to on a weekly basis.
My goal this year is to raise $1000 for the Hope Water Project. The funding will help us provide wells for the Pokot Tribe. CLEAN WATER!!! All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
