October 29, 2016
Growing up we did not have very much money in our household, but the one thing we did have was food. We were very fortunate to be able to not go to bed hungry, but not everyone has that luxury. Therefore, I have decided to take the Women's Health RUN10FEED10 challenge on October 29, 2016 in San Francisco. Running 10K does not seem like much to some, but it will make a difference in the lives of 10 other individuals.
This run also reminds me that, though I experienced a traumatic accident with a few broken bones, I will overcome this physically. This run marks the 1 year anniversary of my crash and is my motivation to continue to stay active through my training for this run. Over the past year, running has become my passion and outlet for all of the frustrations I have faced, both mentally and physically, throughout my recovery. I am inspired to do this run to prove to myself that I will not be beaten.
Your support, of any amount, is truly appreciated. It will feed many people and provide them something that many of us take for granted: our next meal. Thank you for supporting me through this journey, and if you would like to join me in running please register at www.run10feed10.com and come out and run with me!
