THE STORY:

I am almost a two year survivor of rectal cancer. The after affects of the treatment alone is a battle in itself. Then those are the people who are living with metastatic Colorectal cancer. We need to find a cure, a way to screen earlier, I was diagnosed at 39 years old and was told the tumor probably was growing for five years so at 34 years of age I could have started growing the rectal tumor that has changed my life and the lives of my loved ones forever. I want to give this money to colorectal cancer research, specifically in the name of Dr. Aram Hezel at Wilmot Cancer Center and my wonderful surgeon, Dr. John Monson. I hope I can raise enough money to help with the search for a cure. Thanks to these Doctors, their Nurses and I cannot forget Dr. Alan Katz, my soft spoken Radio oncologist who told me to get off the Internet, I am alive to see my children grow up, my husband and I can grow old and gray together and so on. We need to win this fight!
