BENEFITING: ATTACK ADDICTION FOUNDATION
On August 27, 2011, Addiction changed my world in a split second. Jeremy Chad Hobbs was a kind, free spirited, artistic and smart man. He loved his guitar and music was his passion. Heroin was Jeremy's drug of choice and through mismanaged mental health and poor community programs, Jeremy slipped through the cracks of the "system" and into the hands of heroin. Not long before Jeremy's death, he was vocal about enrolling into college and worked long hours in an attempt to turn his life around. But for my green eyed, red headed adventurer, relapse was fatal. With his family, I advocate for dual diagnosis substance abuse and mental health treatment in an attempt to bridge the gap.
