THE STORY:

We are COLD BrrrrITCHES, and we are ready to rock the 2014 PAWSome Winter Challenge!

Our team is compiled of Rochester area animal lovers who believe in the PAWS cause and strive to help improve animal welfare in our City and surrounding suburbs. We are prepared to endure frigid temperatures, mountainous snow drifts, sharp winter winds, and whatever else a Rochester winter may throw our way in order to bring attention to the plight of our furry friends left outside in the cold.

Join our team, make a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal, or come cheer us on as we battle the elements on January 25th at Camp Eastman.  Any and all support is sincerely appreciated!

Please help us help those who cannot help themselves.

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT:

The PAWSome Winter Challenge has tripled in size for 2014! We not only have the PAWSome Cardboard Challenge, but we have added so much more to create 12 hours of winter fun! Don't worry, you do not need to be there for all 12 hours. See what winter fun you like on the outline below, grab some friends and join us for whatever sparks your interest! Remember, it's about the animals and their welfare, and having some fun. But for now, we hope that you start by joining us in the 2nd Annual PAWSome Cardboard Challenge from 5-8pm on January 25, 2014.

NEW THIS YEAR for the PAWSome Cardboard Challenge: There will be judging and prizes for the 3 Hour PAWSome Cardboard Challenge! You will have to stay within your “territory” that has been marked by the judges for the first hour of the challenge. This hour will bring awareness to the challenges that dogs face when they are left outside in extreme temperatures and how difficult it truly is to fight through it.

*$75 can cover the cost of altering 1 feline through the PAWS program?

*$250 can cover the cost of altering 1 dog through the PAWS program?

*$1,000 can vaccinate over 200 animals through the PAWS program?

The goal of this community event is to come together, in the dead of a Western New York winter, along the icy shores of Lake Ontario and thus, raise awareness for animals left out in extreme weather conditions, day after day, fighting for their lives. We are making noise for these animals who can’t help themselves. Together, let’s impact change and set these animals and their owners on the path to providing adequate shelter, food, vet care and love.
