Jessica Yarmuth first became involved with Seeds of Peace as a camper in 2005 as an American delegate. After finishing college at the University of Florida in 2011, she returned to New York City and wanted to rejoin the Seeds of Peace community. Over the past three years, she was a part of the Host Committee for Peace Market in 2013 and 2014, and in 2015 Co-Chaired the first annual Voices Event, which brought together stories, journeys, and experiences of past Seeds and Gather Fellows.
About Seeds of Peace: Seeds of Peace inspires and cultivates new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict. They equip them with the skills and relationships they need to accelerate social, economic, and political changes essential for peace.
Since 1993, Seeds of Peace has set the standard in international peace-building by providing exceptional young people and educators from regions of conflict with an otherwise impossible opportunity to meet their historic enemies face-to-face at our International Camp in Maine.
They build on their extraordinary and critical relationships and understanding through year-round local programs that focus on the core leadership capacities needed to advance peace. There are now over 6,000 Seeds and Educators from 27 countries who prove that solutions exist, peace is possible, and there is reason to have hope for a better future.
