Chile Design/Build Studio
Organized by: Jessica Potempa
Spring semester is over. The summer begins.
May 04, 2016
EVENT DATE May 25, 2016
I am an architecture student at the Illinois Institute of Technology raising money to do a design/build project in Chile. Eleven of my classmates and I will be working in Parque Oncol (about 5 hours from Santiago) to build either a visitor's center or a barn which we will determine through research in the next few weeks.
In order to build inside of this beautiful national park and add to our education by touring Santiago's architecture and visiting Easter Island, we need to raise money for special summer tuition, transportation (airfare and local) , lodging, food and tools. Anything above my goal will go towards materials including those to complete a full scale mock-up on campus this semester.
Please help me reach my personal goal of $9,500, my part of the much larger need to make this building a reality. I am so excited for this to be my first permanent building along with my studiomates! Any amount you can help with would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project and in advance for your help!
Updates on the project will be given on our upcoming blog, website, Instigram and facebook page.
All the best,
