Jetskiing across the Cook Straight

Six days... 600 kilometres on a personal watercraft. Crossing New Zealand's infamous 'Cook Straight' on jetski - all to raise funds for the New Zealand Melanoma Foundation!

The 2014 Yamaha Melanoma Foundation Ski-nZ is an adrenalin packed adventure on personal watercraft, travelling via some of the most amazing coastline and scenery that the top of the South Island has to offer.

It will be an action-packed, extremely tough but fun filled week as we navigate the coastline eastbound from the stunning Whanganui Inlet, located west of Farewell Spit, to Nelson, French Pass, around D’Urville and Stephens Islands, then on to Picton, followed by a Cook Strait Crossing to finish in Wellington.

On the way we'll be taking in amazing sights and raising funds to help the Melanoma Foundation to ‘Create excellence in the awareness, education, prevention, treatment and research of melanoma in New Zealand’. But its not all fun, this is a seriously tough ride!

Raise $3000 (or more!) and join the Yamaha Melanoma Foundation Ski-nZ. I've got my entry fee already covered ($1500 donation to Melanoma Foundation) so the fund raising is for additional costs (Jetski, accomodation, food, travel, personal locator beacon incase they lose me! etc) and anything over this will be donated straight to the Melanoma Foundation.

Sun 9th March : Muster in Takaka for registration, an evening briefing and barbecue.
Mon 10th March : Whanganui Inlet around Farewell Spit and back to Takaka.
Tue 11th March : Takaka through the Abel Tasman Park to Nelson.
Wed 12th March : Nelson to French Pass
Thu 13th March : Day Trip around D’Urville and Stephens Islands or day off if you like.
Fri 14th March : French Pass to Picton.
Sat 15th March : Picton to Wellington via Cook Strait for the end of ride function.

Please support this excellent cause!!
