I completed my very first marathon in 2007 as a part of Team in Training - Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The impact of fundraising for a meaningful cause made such an impression on me that I have also completed races and raised funds for other charities including American Cancer Society and PanCan. Nearly three years ago, I even started working for a charitable organization, Jewish Federation & Family Services (JFFS).
The Family Services division of JFFS provides social services across the age range to over 3,600 individuals per year in Orange County. Our programs include Older Adult Care Management and Consultation, Senior Transportation Services, Holocaust Survivor Services, Senior Active Living, Bereavement Services, Center for Special Needs, Women’s Employment, Crisis Case Management, Emergency Financial Assistance, Counseling and Psychotherapy. These services are provided to people of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds.
The work we do, and the impact this organization has made in the lives of so many, makes it easy for me to go to work each morning.....something that had been so difficult for me for years. I am proud to race with my teammates!
Please support me with a donation to help support these amazing human services programs in Orange County. Thank you!
