JFK Middle School Autism Awareness
Organized by: Zack Seyller
John F. Kennedy Middle School has a large population of students on the Autism spectrum, both in the general education setting and within a multi-needs, self-contained classroom. In order to ensure success for our students and provide the best opportunities available to them, they need to be recognized and supported in many aspects of their lives. As a district, educators and community members are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our students on the spectrum, as well as the resources available to their families. As part of Autism Awareness month, all throughout April, students and staff members raise money to donate to Autism Speaks and participate in the annual walk at Soldier Field.
