THE STORY:

JIFF's 5 for $10 Challenge...Honoring the Life of J.P. Shelley! Give just $10 & challenge 5 friends to do the same! J.P. was robbed & murdered by 3 teenage gang members while working as a contractor in Memphis on Oct. 4, 2013...his son Palmer's 7th birthday. He leaves behind Beverly, his wife of nearly 19 years, Palmer & Emme (5)...see https://www.facebook.com/rememberingjp.
Beverly is committed to the mission of JIFF, intervening in the lives of juvenile offenders who have been involved with the juvenile court system multiple times. The defendants in this case had a history in the court system...one with 15 prior offenses. JIFF is the ONLY organization in Memphis offering intervention services to juvenile offenders with multiple (often violent) violations.
JIFF currently only services offenders from 11 zip codes due to budget constraints...most likely one of the reasons that the defendant in this case never made it to JIFF prior to J.P.'s murder. JIFF's mission is to increase the organization's impact from reaching 120 youths per year to 300. As a non-profit, we need your help to hire additional staff mentors & purchase vans for transporting youth, etc.
PLEASE take our challenge & encourage at least 5 friends to give $10! Help us make a positive impact in this community!
