Grand Re-Opening Celebration…
Grand Re-Opening Celebration at the Northside Food Pantry

Monday, October 19, from 6 - 8 PM.

Food! Drink! Music! Celebrate!

Join with your neighbors and all who support the Northside Food Pantry as we celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Pantry and give thanks to the hundreds of donors who give time, food and money to the largest Pantry in western PA.

No photos yet of the remodeled space so everyone can be mesmerized by the new layout, shelving, carts, scale and more on Monday night. There are a few more projects to complete, but we're ready to throw open the doors and celebrate.

Stroll on over to 1601 Brighton Road, 15212 and enter through the Pantry door, down the ramp on the left side of the building.

Live music by jazz legend Harry Cardillo

Appetizers and Dessert samplings generously donated by Fabled Table Catering and Bistro to Go

Tours of the Pantry and our fancy new equipment (a digital scale and cute little carts that will knock your socks off!) included as well.

Thank you to all who have been so generous, not only during the Re-Ramp & Re-Model the Pantry campaign on Crowdrise that raised $12,000 this summer, but also for the ongoing donations of time, food and money to the largest Pantry in western PA.

You have done it! By reachin…
You have done it! By reaching the $12,000 goal you have assured that your food insecure neighbors will shop in their Community Food Pantry with more dignity and they will return to their families and jobs more quickly.

Every dollar you help to raise above the $12,000 goal goes directly to the purchase of food for distribution in the pantry. Often our staff is faced with the decision to not buy food items that are too costly for our budget. We allot approximately $500 per week to shop for food from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. With that amount we hope to provide for the food needs of the nearly 1,000 households that shop at our pantry each month. The money above the goal for this campaign will allow us to raise that weekly shopping amount and allow us to buy the cereal or canned fruits that are generally too costly for us to purchase. You helped us get the shelves and the shopping carts now your contributions can help put cereal on the shelves and canned fruit in the carts.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Blogger Night at the Food Pantry - Monday June 22 at 6 PM to celebrate and continue our shared work to support our neighbors.

Please share our link and invite your friends to continue supporting our neighbors.
