Hello.

This is my final note in order to express my thanks for your donation to Team Eye and Ear. With your support, I have raised over $8,400 for this remarkable cause and completed the 26.2 miles of the 2014 Boston Marathon.

Together, Team Eye and Ear has raised over $798,000 this year, which will help to ensure that the premier care given at Mass. Eye and Ear will continue.

Not only have friends and family donated generously, but also so have several local businesses. Various goods and services have been contributed such as: salon, limousine, grocery and athletic store gift cards, along with gym memberships.

Anyone who made a donation of $20 or more to Team Eye and Ear has been automatically entered into a raffle for one of these various prizes. The deadline for final contributions is May 15th, 2014, and I will notify the winners via email, by Monday, May 19th.

Again, this is one more way for me to demonstrate how truly appreciative I am of your support.

With immense gratitude,

Jillian

Hello!

On April 21st, at 11:25 am, I lined up in Hopkinton to run the 118th Boston Marathon! After four hours, thirteen minutes, and twenty seconds, I crossed the finish line. Last Monday was truly the most extraordinary experience of my life.

I know that many of you monitored my progress that day and also wished me well. I was thrilled to see many friendly faces as I ran by, and to know that many more were out there (even if I could not see them).

Furthermore, I wanted to take the time to again say how thankful I am for your support throughout this monumental endeavor. Because of your contributions, I have raised over $8,400 for Team Eye and Ear and Operation Airway.

Also, copy and paste this link http://jdebusk.weebly.com/marathon.html into your browser for additional highlights! I hope that you will enjoy the pictures that my father snapped as I ran by him at Mile 18 on Marathon Monday.

Again, thank you for helping me reach the “finish line.”

With infinite gratitude,

Hello! As the marathon dra…
Hello!

As the marathon draws closer, I wish to say THANK YOU once again for your support. Also, I wanted to share some exciting training milestones I have had as I prepare to run the 2014 Boston Marathon with Team Eye and Ear at Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Firstly, I was recently featured on the news giving a "shout out" to MEEI, which was pretty hilarious. Check out the link (http://youtu.be/3Hy22X034Ac) if you like.

Also, today, I ran the final long run of my training; 21 miles. This is the furthest I have ever run, and I felt amazing the entire way. I am hoping for a repeat performance come Marathon Monday here in Boston!

Additionally, I am getting closer to reaching my fundraising goal for Team Eye and Ear. I have raised $6,192 so far, yet I still have about $1,300 left until I reach my goal. I do have until May 15th to finish raising this money but have set April 21st, the day of the marathon, as my personal deadline.

Thank you again for helping me work towards reaching my fundraising goal. Because of you, the incredible work that is being done at Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary will continue.

Finally, please ask your employer if they match charitable donations. It is an excellent way of making your donation go even further!

With deep gratitude,

Hi Dalya.

I hope that you had an amazing February Break. I wanted to let you know that your donation went through and I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Your generous donation will help to ensure that children continue to receive life-saving care from the team at Operation Airway.

Training for a marathon in this crazy "Polar Vortex" has been challenging, but it's significantly easier knowing that I have the support of people like you.

Thank you again. See you back at school.

Hello all.

Just a quick update to let you know that so far, with your help, we have raised $3,166 for Operation Airway and Team Eye and Ear at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Additionally, yesterday I had an amazing 15 mile training run along the Marathon course. It's the furthest I've ever run, and I know that with your support I will make it to the finish line.

Please feel free to pass along my link to anyone you feel would be interested in the cause.

Again, many thanks.

All my best,
Jillian
