BENEFITING: LIVING COMPASSION

For my birthday, I decided to join my friends who are fundraising for kids in Zambia. We are trying to walk a combined 52 million steps before October 4th, which is the number of steps it would take to walk between California and Kantalomba, Zambia, where the project is.
My goal is 10,000 steps (about 5 miles) a day. It will turn out to be almost 200 miles!!!
There are so many causes to give to, but this one is so close to my heart. Five years ago, I went to Kantalomba, Zambia, a small, forgotten slum at the end of the world, and saw this project, where the goal was to create a locally-led women's collective who would work to feed 100 children. They are now a thriving collective, with clean water, feeding 800 kids, with an after-school program, and more. It's an amazing project, which I've seen first hand.
