BENEFITING: Fairmount Park Conservancy
Help me to raise funds to benefit enhancements to the historic Belmont Plateau trails in Fairmount Park. Fairmount Park one of the largest urban park in the world. The 1876 Philadlephia Centennial Exposition was held in the park and many of the buildings and monuments still exist. The Philadelphia Museum of Art was formed shortly after the Exposition because of the popularity of the exhibition of art that was part of the Expostion.
Fairmount Park is a wonderful asset to the city of Phialdelphia and adds tremendously to the quality of life for those of us living in the city. My dog, Mr. Powder and I walk in the park everyday and I run several times a week in the park or adjoining green spaces. On my shortest runs of 1- 1.5 miles Mr. Powder runs with me; any more miles than that and he's told me I can run on my own!
For me, helping to raise money for Fairmount Conservancy is not only an opportunity to support a good cause but will be a chance for me to become more closely involved with the volunteers and the park that are an important part of the city I now call home. Your support is greatly appreciated!
