This march honors Jimmy McIntyre and all of the other known L-S alums who have died from complications of AIDS. These men were just like us, wandering the halls of L-S and worrying about the typical day-to-day stress of high school. Unfortunately, their lives were cut short by a disease that kills millions of people each year.

The multitude of service groups at L-S is overwhelming. At the shop-around this week, I'm sure you will all see 20+ clubs all helping a different cause. A few years ago, AIDS received constant attention from multiple service groups, but as of the mass distress in other countries, our assistance was also needed elsewhere. But those plagued with AIDS still need our help. As Mr. Schechter wisely said, "our attention span can only focus on one thing for so long, but the magnitude of this plague still dwarfs everything else and it is still exacting its toll."

The number of people attending this march has dropped in the past few years. Please come on October 17th to honor our fellow L-S students and raise money in order to defeat their lethal disease. Bring your family and friends! This is an event for our entire L-S community.

In order to receive COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS, you must raise $50 in pledges, and in order to receive your free t-shirt, you must raise $75 in pledges. We will also be selling t-shirts on the side for $20.

For the first time ever, Jim's brother Tom will be in attendance along with the majority of the McIntyre family.

We honor:
Jimmy McIntyre '78
Peter Ehrenfeld '75
Eric Gupton '78
Thomas Hammond '76
Matt Holland '83
John Lafler '74
George McGovern '73
Sean O'Neil '75
Stephen Porter '77
Charles Reade '79
Brad Truesdale '73

May they rest in peace.

All of the funds raised will be donated to Straight Talk a charity in Uganda.
