BENEFITING: Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
EVENT DATE: May 01, 2011
My name is Jimmy Pelletier and I am a Professional Skateboarder from Washington DC. As a Charity Activist, I do several fundraisers throughout the year for all different causes with my organization, THE DC WHEELS.
This year, I have chosen Pulmonary Fibrosis as one of my causes. I feel everyone plays a very crucial role in fighting the deadly disease and bringing public awareness to it. I believe that although there are scientists working around the clock to find a cure, there are so many already affected with PF who need support and funding to help cope, and be educated on the disease with literature and counseling.
My plan is to SKATEBOARD 45 miles regardless of weather (rain or shine) on Sunday May 1st, to raise money for Pulmonary Fibrosis. I think that even if I only raise a $100, it would be a blessing. However, my goal is to raise over $3,200 and surpass my old fundraising record.
Please help me help them find a cure.
