Haymakers For Hope via Crowdrise
September 17, 2012
Cancer is a disease that knows no race, age, or gender and has negatively affected too many people in my life. The one common denominator though is that everyone who has cancer is engaged in a constant battle and fight against it. Like most people, I have known friends and family affected by this horrible disease and am trying to do my part to help find a cure.
Long story short, I started boxing after watching "Rocky" one too many times. After learning about Haymakers for Hope through my training partner, it was just too great of an opportunity to pass up. Anytime I face adversity throughout training I think about how hard it has to be for people dealing with this disease day in and day out. There is no bell ringing telling them the round is over.
If you can afford to do so please support me with a donation and/or by attending the fights on November 8th in New York. By all accounts this is a great time & very unique event that is not your typical fundraiser.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this & for your support. Win or lose I will be proud for having done this & the support that I know I will receive from my family & friends.
