EVENT DATE: Apr 27, 2014
Joshua will be participating the children's version of the PossAbilities' Triathlon on April 27th to raise money for Loma Linda University's PossAbilities. Last year, he ran in his new running legs, rode a hand operated trike, and crossed the pool. The previous year he participated on a team and completed the running leg of the event.
Joshua (JJ) is an ambassador for PossAbilities which is a free community outreach program developed by Loma Linda University Medical Center East Campus. The program’s goal is to offer individuals who were born with, or have suffered, a permanent physical injury a sense of community helping them live their lives to the fullest. PossAbilities has over 3,900 members and provides various resources and opportunities for individuals with diverse disabilities such as limb amputation, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and others. In addition to various support groups, peer mentoring, adaptive sports, and educational scholarships, we host over 35 different recreational and social activities each year to afford our members an opportunity to actively participate in their local community.
Your financial support of PossAbilities helps us to continue our mission to provide new direction and hope for people with diverse disabilities. Every dollar helps a physically challenged person thrive and reach their full potential in life. We believe in those we serve, thanks for believing in us! Your donation is tax deductable and you may designate it for specific uses, i.e. equipment grants, educational scholarships, etc. Call 909 558-6384 or visit teampossabilities.com for more information.
