The Joe Dumphy Memorial Golf Scholarship is an official 501c(3) charity established in honor of 15-year old Joe Dumphy who died from injuries sustained in a car accident this past summer. Joe's mom, Deb, and aunt, Kathleen, are running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for this scholarship in Joe's memory. Joe was an amazing, dedicated junior golfer. However, it is how he carried himself on and off the golf course that people remember most and that his family and community wants to keep alive through this scholarship. The scholarship is not based on "scores" or the number of clubs a student belongs to - is about the influence the student has made. The scholarship will be awarded yearly to a deserving high school senior golfer exemplifying Joe's character to help offset some college expenses. Please consider donating any amount possible to continue keeping the memory of Joe alive while rewarding a student that carries him/herself with the same morals and leadership as Joe.
