Haymakers For Hope via Crowdrise
September 17, 2012
Thank you all so much for the awesome support you have given me as I get ready for the Haymakers for Hope charity boxing match on November 8th. I want to give you an update on my training program at Trinity gym in preparation for "going the distance" in the ring. My regiment includes running several days a week, working with a sparring partner three days a week and, of course, good, clean living. :) My trainers are excellent and have assured me that I will be ready to go on November 8th.
Because of your generosity, I have been able to raise $2,625 in donations to benefit pancreatic cancer research. As many of you know, this cause is very close to my heart, as my high school football coach, Vic Kubu succumbed to this terrible disease. Coach Kubu was a great man who taught us all a great deal about football, but even more about life itself; most importantly about teamwork and accountability. That is why I am so grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference and to contribute to the advancement of research for a cure for pancreatic cancer. Thanks to all of you, my goal of $2k has been exceeded but, of course donations to Haymakers for Hope are still very much appreciated.
Many of you have inquired about attending the event, above is a link to the website where you can purchase tickets. The event will be a great night out at the Roseland Ballroom. General Admission is second level seating priced at $50 and VIP Admission is Standing Room on the Main Floor and includes an open bar priced at $150. Please contact me if you have any questions. I can’t tell you how much your support means to me. Thank you again. See you on November 8th!
