This is JFF's mission statement and it is why I am doing this. The Joggin’ for Frogmen running team was created by the girlfriend of a Navy SEAL, to run in the Travis Manion Foundation’s “9/11 Heroes Run” in September 2011. The team ran in honor of her boyfriend (who was away at training), the 31 Heroes who were killed on the Extortion 17 helicopter that was shot down on August 6, 2011, in Afghanistan, and all of the Navy SEALs and Special Operators at war.

The “Joggin’ for Frogmen” idea quickly turned into an event. The Inaugural Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k Run/Walk and Tadpole Trot for the kids was held in San Diego on July 29th, 2012, one week before the first anniversary of the Extortion 17 tragedy on August 6th, 2011. Joggin’ for Frogmen participants ran in honor of the 31Heroes and all of our fallen service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Joggin’ for Frogmen raised over $58,000 in 2012, through sponsorship and donations, and an additional $116,000 in 2013, through various events. We are now expanding the Joggin’ for Frogmen race across the United States and hope you will help us contribute even more to our charity partners in 2014! We hope you will jog with us to support our mission and to continue helping our military families.
