John Harold's Medical Expenses | Fundraiser
Organized by: Friends and Family of John Harold
John suffered a stroke the end of January, losing all movement on his right side. He has regained some movement in his right leg, enough to be mobile while using a type of cane. He isn't able to stand on his own (that ends up in him falling when he tries). His right arm has not regained movement unfortunately. He can move his shoulder up and down maybe an inch, can wiggle his thumb a tiny bit and when resting his arm on an armrest, can raise it a couple inches. Needless to say, he can't do much of anything, as his good arm has to be holding his cane to support himself. John has kept in good spirits this whole time, and really, really LOVES all the help that has been given in the gardens and all the visits. He gets quite lonely and is getting pretty frustrated with his lack of movement in his arm because he is dying to be outside. And he feels horrible that he's putting all this work on Sharon. Not only is that bad enough, but now the dreaded Medical bills are starting to roll in...it would show an amazing outpouring of love and support (and show appreciation for all the help they give to others, with cakes, sewing, mending, baking, etc) to help them get their medical bills paid!! (We don't know when John might be able to go back to work so is on limited income right now, if that's even started coming in. Sharon has tried to take on more hours at her job to help with the finances but has had to give that up, as she isn't able to do that and care for John.) Any help you are able to give is welcome & SO appreciated!
