I started riding in 2001 after my neighbor's son, Langston Sutcliffe, was diagnoed with a rare blood disease. I wanted to do something to help so I rode in the Team In Training Event in New Hampshire followed by another event in Tahoe. 5 years later, I founded the Texas Irish Cycling Team with 6 of my good friends and my wife Kim. We raised money for great causes like the Multiple Sclerosis Society. 5 years later the team had grown to ever 50 members and had raised over $400,000 for chartiable causes. Today the Texas Irish are stronger than ever after founded a 501C3 charitable organiuzarion aply named the Texas Irish Foundation. We have set a goal to rasie $175,000 for charity in 2013. 100% of the donations are funded to the charities on the grant list. For more informatin go to texasirishcycling.com
