BENEFITING: BORGEN PROJECT
The Borgen Project is an innovative, national campaign that works with U.S. leaders to improve their response to the global poverty crisis.
I chose to work with the Borgen Project because I believe that reducing global poverty is one of the number one things that we can do to improve quality of life for everyone.
You can help myself and the Borgen Project reduce global poverty. How, you ask? Two ways:
1) Donate: Instead of buying a cup of coffee one morning, donate the cost of the cup to the Borgen Project. (Or, get the coffee and match the cost in a donation. I know the no coffee struggle.) Every little bit helps, even if it's just a dollar.
2) Shop the Amazon Smile page: Go to smile.amazon.com when you make your purchases online and set the donor recipient to The Borgen Project. A portion of your purchase prices will go towards the cause.
3) Call/write/email Congress: Can't donate money? You can still donate time. Call/write/email your Congressional or Senate representative and tell them to support the fight against global poverty. It only takes a few seconds, and the more people that speak out, the more likely that Congress will listen.
The world is getting smaller every day. We're all in this together.
