John's Community- Life through the eyes of Andrean
Organized by: John Moore
Hello, My name is John Andrean. I've been homeless on the streets, living from abandoned houses/buildings to curling up in a space on someone's living room floor. I've tried to live the life of a hustler and ended up being hustled for my life. A pistol was fired at me four times in up close range. My life flashed before my eyes but I did not lose it. I believed in God and now I believe in his angels. I am so grateful. I've watch a friend lose his life while losing my my at the same time. But I Still Here. I would love to tell my story, through my writings. I would love to empower the young men and women in our city streets with something valuable- LIFE. As a firm believer that music has the power to change lives, I desire to use it as a platform to inspire the children, young adults, men, and women in urban community and abroad. Urban communities suffer from the bombardment of negative sound. Not to water down anyone's craft but it seems that the art of music in directed towards inner city neighborhoods lack creativity and value. I want to be among those who adds to the solution and not the problem- positive inspirational music. Music that imprints upon the heart and leaves the listeners snapping their fingers and humming the tunes long after the song has ended. What will they say about me when I'm gone? A question I ask myself over and over again, and one that I want to challenge my listeners. Songs that can express a message effectively without filling a child's heart with derogatory content or intent. My music, my writings will tell life's story, yours and mines. People will refer to my music when they need answers, when they need someone to relate to, when they're in trouble, when they're in love, and when they have lost. It will speak. I will speak. Let me inspire you. Please help me inspire this generation. Thank You.
