Logan's Breaths of Fresh Air has reached out to our local running community and has recruited some fellow runners to join us in our Marathon Challenge. The runners will be taking donations to run in the Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon on October 18th, 2015.
A little about Logan's Breaths of Fresh Air.... It was first started when our twins, Logan and Nolan, were born and Logan was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF is a genetic disease that makes all the body mucus become thick and sticky, which causes respitory and digestive problems. Currently, there is no cure for CF and the average median age for a CF patient is only 40. Which means that CF will eventually kill most patients!!! That's why Logan's Breaths of Fresh Air is a Proud Support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The CFF uses donations to research and develop new drugs that help CF patients live longer, healthier lives. Hopefully one day they will find a cure!
Logan was also granted a wish from The Make A Wish Foundation. Logan's wish was to go on a Disney Cruise, so Make A Wish made that happen!!! We were able to spend an, almost, carefree week at sea making TONS of memories to last a lifetime! That is why Logan's Breaths of Fresh Air will also be starting to set a small portion or our donations aside to give back to Make A Wish, and help other families of termally ill kids have their wishes fufilled!
Thank you for supporting our cause and helping us donate to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and now also to The Make A Wish Foundation. They are both great organizations that have had a great impact on our family!
