John Whaley Recovery
Organized by: Deanna Toyoshima
As many of you know, John Whaley went into cardiac arrest on Sunday July 19th for a still unknown reason. Luckily, Anna Mapes was there by his side and started CPR and called 911. He has been at Emanuel Hospital in the ICU and on a ventilator for the last four days. This morning, July 23rd, John was finally ready to have his breathing tube removed. He is still groggy and doesn't remember what happened, but smiling and even joking around at times. He is still battling a pneumonia and needs extra oxygen, but he is on the road to recovery. Anna has been by John's side since Sunday night, and has appreciated the outpouring of support from their community. At the end of all of this, there will be medical bills and living expenses to pay. Any support you are willing to give to help alleviate the stress of missed work and bills would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the positive thoughts and kind words.
