BENEFITING: Center For Prophetic Imagination
The Center for Prophetic Imagination is a membership based nonprofit that offers education, arts, and activist initiatives to help people turn from the false promises of empire and embrace God’s vision for the world.
Since we launched five months ago, we've been off to a great start. During Lent we helped organize three direct actions. We host weekly RDC Meetings. We're launching bi-monthly workshops. Every quarter, we're rolling out the Turning. We've got several Intro to Prophetic Imagination retreats planned. And we're offering our year long formation program (Prophetic Immersion) in August. We've entered into a relationship with Conundrum Press to release our Sacred Subversion Series of books. And we're going to launch monthly webinars in May.
We've got a lot going on. But we're only getting started. If we're going to go deeper and wider in our work of subversive spirituality, we need your help.
We need to increase our capacity to keep up with our growing nonprofit (we've got a lot going on for two part time staff). Which is why we've set an ambitious goal: We are trying to gain fifty new members in the next month.
Members are more than mere donors: they are our co-conspirators, our decision-makers, they are what make everything we do possible.
And so we're asking you: will you join us in working to co-create a world where all walls of alienation are torn down and all people live justly with each other, with the land, and with the Spirit of Life?
We offer the following guidelines to help you decide how much to give as a member. These are merely suggestions; giving at any amount about $10/month or $100/year grants you membership status:
If you make up to 25k a year: 10/month or 100/year.
If you make 25k-45k a year: 30/month or 300/year.
If you make 45k-75k a year: 50/month or 500/year.
If you make over 75k a year: 100/month or 1000/year.
All members will receive a copy of Rhythms of Revolt—a prayer book featuring four weeks of morning and evening prayers with additional prayers for the church seasons and a basic guide to contemplation—when it is published this summer.
