I first heard about More Than Sport in 2013, and it immediately struck a chord within me and I wanted to get involved. However I wasn't entirely sure how to get involved or what I could do at that stage. I'm incredibly privileged and lucky to have the opportunity to do what I love as a Triathlete.
It's now however, that I have the ability, as I train and race around the world as a Professional Triathlete, that I want to ensure I do so in a way that I can add value and give back to the communities. I think we forget how very privilege we are to have had an education. Watch the film, "On the Way to School" and you will realise how we take our education for granted. For many it's such a powerful gift. If I can help, through my sport and my career, to help provide education and resources around the world, which in turn will create minds and imagination that make changes, then that's a pretty good place to be in.
