Epidermolysis Bullosa is a disease I just recently learned about through a virtual 5k I did. I love to run, it is my outlet for stress and I just love how it makes me feel. I love for my runs to have meaning and purpose and this one has touched my heart. EB is an extremely painful disease that you are born with. Your skin on your entire body blisters and peals from the slightest amount of friction. It even affects your throat from the friction of eating. Life 24/7 is full of pain. Kids living with EB are called Butterfly Children because their skin is as fragile as Butterfly wings. This video was on the virtual run page I did the 5k for and I want to do more for these children then just that 5k. So over Christmas Jolly and I registered for the Nashville half marathon and it is at the end of this month. This is a little last minute but I've just learned about EB and want to try to raise money and have our 13.1 miles honor those living with EB. So I'm hoping our family and friends will want to donate.... $13.10....in honor of our run. The money goes directly to the EB charity. Our goal is $500 and Jolly and I will match that to give a total of $1000!!! Please help us honor those children and give to their fight to find a cure!! God Bless!!
