BENEFITING: Trevor Project
Imagine you're a kid again.
Now imagine being told you're wrong. No one likes that. But not for what you said, or what you did. For what you are.
Now imagine being bullied. Being teased and picked on. Being discriminated against. Every day. With no end in sight.
Now imagine being abandoned by those you depend on. Your community. And your friends. Even your family.
LGBTQ suicide rates are disturbingly high, and sadly it's not hard to see why some are pushed to the point of hopelessness.
It's a shame that this remains a serious issue in a nation built on the principles of freedom and equality. I believe things will get better over time, but we're not there yet. For now, at least we have organizations like The Trevor Project doing what they can to give support where it's needed.
The Trevor Project is a non-profit providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth: http://www.thetrevorproject.org/
In the spirit of empathy and compassion, please join me in supporting this worthy cause.
Imagine a kinder world.
