Jonathan's expense fund
Organized by: Ed Kearn
Jonathan K. is in prison at a federal facility. Most people don't realize that only the bare necessities are provided to inmates in these facilities. They get basic food, a prison garb, and plastic sandals. If they want additional underwear, t-shirt, warm layers, deodorant, stamps, paper, phone calls, radios, non-prescription medications, lotions, etc., someone has to send funds for that. Those funds are sent via Western Union, resulting in an $8.95 charge for each transaction.
Some people have asked, "How can we give some money to him?" If you know him and wish to give him a gift--some spending money--this is the place. Only 3% is kept by CrowdRise... for processing the credit card payment. It's a great deal. [Note that the popular Go...Me site charges and additional 5% plus a 30 cent transaction fee.]
More than the gift, we all appreciate your praying for Jonathan, that he will be encouraged, draw closer to Christ each day, and impact others with the good news.
