BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: Team HITW NYC Marathon 2014
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
Hey everyone, I'm really excited to be running in the 2014 TCS New York Marathon with Team Hole in the Wall, to help raise money for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The camp provides "a different kind of healing" to more than 20,000 children and families battling serious illness each year, completely free of charge. At camp, the kids can laugh and enjoy fun activities with other campers without worrying about their medical situations or being limited to their hospital room. In short, they simply get to be kids.
Please help my friend Eric Hsiao and I reach our fundraising goals of $3,000 for this amazing and wonderful cause. Any amount helps, and will go directly towards funding these children so they can enjoy a wonderful summer camp experience. Plus, your donation is tax deductible! Thank you so much for supporting!
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was founded by Paul Newman in 1988 and is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It's a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood where every kid can have an opportunity to "raise a little hell." The Camp serves more than 20,000 children and families annually both at camps located in CT and through the Hospital Outreach Program, which brings the hopeful, playful spirit of the camp to children and families in the hospital setting. Through the generosity of its donors, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp community provides this unique healing experience to children and families in need of care-free moments.
