Hello family and friends!
Erika and I would like to ask you to help support us for an amazing cause.
I've been a board member of Children Today for the last 14 years and have never known an organization do this much good, without ego or fanfare, for the right reasons.. CT offers no-cost childcare to homeless families in Long Beach, CA. The goal is to offer homeless children a very safe, predictable, nurturing environment given the trauma they experience on a daily basis. No matter what one feels about the issue of homelessness, it is never a child's fault to be in that situation, and the accompanying fallout: abuse or neglect, the insensitivities of the child welfare system, or the emotional instability created when survival is a daily task. Children Today's two facilities offer an incredible learning environment, and moreover it enables many homeless parents to focus on getting employment and housing while their kids are at school. CT is funded by private donation and grants only – it is not a public program and thus unaffiliated with local, state, or federal government. We have an operating budget that exceeds $1 million per year.
This weekend Erika and I are participating in Children Today's "Bay To Bay" walk – Beginning at San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge and ends at Long Beach's Boathouse on the Bay. There are many teams doing the walk, each with a 10 mile segment, and each are fundraising by asking people to "sponsor" them. Will you sponsor our effort? We appreciate anything and everything you many give – there is no amount too large or small and we are grateful for your generosity.

Much love to you all -
