Joshua's College Dream
Organized by: Joshua Davis
Hi my name is Joshua Davis. I am a 15 year old who lives in Oregon. When I was young I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. AS has become a very big part of my life, but it has also created many challenges. I have struggled with depression over the years due to me being bullied, not having close friends, and from near constant extreme stress due to anxiety. I am a perfectionist and if things don't go perfect in what I have planned, I become very stressed. This has caused much stress in High School due to all the things going on around me. My dream is to go to a good college and make a good amount of money as an adult. As I go through High School, I see continued improvement in my social skills, and putting myself out there. I used to be too stressed and full of anxiety to do sports an other out of school activities. I now do football, wrestling, and NHS, as well as a search and rescue squad for my county sheriff. My family is low on money these days for my education. Here, I ask that you please help me reach my goal of going to college, and bettering myself as a person, as well as not letting my AS get me down. Thank you.
