Josie's Journey Back To Health
Organized by: Daniel Flores
This is for our cat, Josie. She is 9 years old. We've had her and her brother, Ronin, their whole lives. This past year has been a difficult one for us. My boyfriend of 12 years is disabled. He had a liver transplant when he was 2 years old and is currently suffering from complications of long term immuno-suppressant therapy. In June he was hospitalized and a tube was placed in him to allow his liver to function. Because of his hospitalization, I missed over a week of work to be with him. Shortly after he came home, we noticed something wrong with Josie. We noticed she didn't eat as much as she used to. We tried switching her to a soft diet but she still doesn't eat very much. We also noticed a lump on her neck. We would very much like to have her checked but since my boyfriend's illness this year, I've been behind on the bills. We've been living paycheck to paycheck and most weeks we've barely managed to pay bills, feed ourselves and take care of our pets. That's why we're asking for help with Josie. We want to have her checked out and hopefully she can get better. Anything will help. Thank you.
