BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
EVENT DATE: Mar 15, 2015
This past year I lost a family member to a horrible disease called cancer. My cousin Juan Carlos Sanchez was taken much to soon from his wife and girls and from the entire Sanchez family and friends. He was kind and gentle. He was a man of faith and a hero to many of us who admired his strength, positivity and fighter spirit.
Unfortunately, my cousin's loss is not the first that my family has suffered due to this unforgiving disease. My children lost their grandfathe,r Enrique Aranda Sr. just 5 years ago to brain cancer and they also lost their great uncles, Marcelo Hernandez and Jaime Hernandez Sr. I have lost my tia Ana Yolanda Gonzalez and tio Alfredo Elias Gonzalez. The number of people are ovewhelming. It's not even including those members of my family who have survived cancer like my mother Janett Sanchez and my aunt Sylvia Enamorado. Please join me in contributing towards the search for a cure. Together we can do it!
I respectfully ask for your donation. I promise to put in the work by training for and running 26.2 miles on March 15, 2015. It is the very least I can do. The strain it will put on my body is nothing compared to the pain and suffering my cousin, my father in law, my uncle and aunt went through. I am ready to take on the challenge. All donations will go to the American Cancer Society and their efforts to find a cure and support programs that assist those who have this horrible disease and are fighting the good fight.
