Journey to Costa Rica: Journeyers, March 2017
Team Member: Amanda Joseph
EVENT DATE Mar 10, 2017
As some of you may know, I will be turning 30 this year. As I embark on my 30th year, I have felt a strong calling and desire to start giving back to the world in anyway I am able. My goal for 2017 is to dive heart first into as many volunteer journies as I can, in order to build enriching relationships, give back to communities and make lasting friendships.
I am excited to announce my very first official trip to volunteer will take place in just a few short months! You can find all of the info on my trip below. If any of you are able to donate any amount to help me get on my journey, you will be greatly appreciated... not just by me, but by all of the families I will be helping. THANK YOU!

We're going to Costa Rica to build homes for families currently living in the slums.
TECHO, our on the ground, non profit partner, is actively working in 22 countries to permanently eradicate poverty in our lifetime. TECHO works in 650 slums, has mobilized over 800,000 volunteers and built over 105,000 transitional homes across Latin America.
We'll spend two days building a transitional home, working alongside the family and local volunteers. Then, at the end of a hard and rewarding two-day build, we'll hand the keys to the family and watch as they open their front door for the first time.
Next, we'll explore the spectacular coast for 3 days to process the experience we just shared and make decisions on what we want to bring back into our lives.
It takes a village to make social change. I would greatly appreciate your support in our mission.
