One week to go!
November 04, 2016
Sometimes life gives an amazing opportunity to connect with a family that inspires and enriches by the simple things - and courage, connection and zest for life when challenges hit hard. I will be paddling for all the many friends and family who have been touched by cancer - but especially for Meg (McDonnel) Caissie and her dear family.
As a survivor myself I hope I can face adversities life throws my way with the love, energy and courage Meg shared with so many. I will paddle in gratitude for health, family, friends and the powerful work shared by Judie Vivian and the Schweitzer family - raising awareness and funds. Give what you can - every dollar helps. More importantly, please come to the event on November 12 and be part of the vibrant energy found in a "sea of pink."
Meg lived life to the fullest, inspired and taught our next generation with energy, imagination and heart. She mixed awesome good humor, courageous attitude and a passion for life. We can celebrate the amazing impact that Meg's brother Michael McDonnell has ignited with his loving and tireless efforts over the years. This team will paddle in celebration of the amazing life Meg shared with so many, and the courage of others facing that tough adversary known as cancer.
Please join our team whether you standup paddle or not. Let's have some fun on the water and join Standup for the Cure to bring awareness (and free screening) for breast cancer and skin cancer. I f you don't paddle- know that I will help you on the water. Aloha!
