Julia's Flight to Ghana to Provide Safe Drinking Water
Organized by: Julia Isabel Rivera
Hello! I am an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley, and I have been accepted to a be a Saha Global Field Representative in Ghana over the summer. As a part of this program, I will help provide greater accessibility to clean drinking water in various rural communities there. I will also train community-appointed women to treat the contaminated water that they collect, in order for them to be able to start their own business and provide sanitary drinking water for their own community. In order to pursue these goals, I will first need help getting to Ghana. Currently, the most inexpensive round-trip airplane ticket ranges from $1000-$1200, and I would very much appreciate your help in raising that amount. Every dollar counts! Let us all take a step toward achieving global accessibility to safe drinking water.
