Ohio RAAM challenge 200 miler race report
September 19, 2017
BENEFITING: TEAM PHENOMENAL HOPE INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 16, 2017
This is my first year racing for Team Phenomenal Hope! I decided to take on the Race Across America Ohio Cycling Challenge this year. This will be a 200 mile race beginning and ending in Dublin Ohio, where I grew up. The most mileage I've ridden is just over 100, so I am excited to take on this challenge for a good cause.
When not racing or training for some endurance event, I work at Brigham & Women's hospital as an exercise physiologist. I've been lucky enough to work with and get to know many pulmonary hypertension patients over the last few years. This is where I met a very inspiring young woman, Camille, who is fighting this disease with incredible optimism. She loves bicycles as well, so I couldn't have found a more perfect person to dedicate this race to. Stay tuned for more on her story and hopefully she will inspire you as much as she already has for me! #letmebeyourlungs
Pulmonary hypertension is a progressive disease with no current cure, so anything will help! Thank you so much for your support!
