THE STORY:

This is very close to my heart and I want to do as much as possible to help! A close family friend has lost everything in a house fire that was not in their control (the dryer shorted out due to how it was installed). The family did not have renters insurance and the owners did not have insurance either; therefore, everything is gone. Clothes, furniture, and most importantly the priceless meaningful items of theirs and older generations that were stored in the house. This is such an unrealistic terrible event that nobody thinks would happen to them, but unfortunately it happened to someone very close to me who means a lot.

I am going to run (race: in two weeks) for a cause to help support the family, raise money to help them get back on their feet, and get awareness out in the community. All the support and proceeds will go straight to the family to help in any way possible.

Please try to put yourself in their shoes and find some courage to help others, even if you don't know them. Any type of support or help is greatly appreciated! Let's help  get this family back on their feet :)
