My name is Melanie Nicholson and I am a sophomore at Tahoma high School. I have made honor roll for the last 3 years and I see school as one of my highest priorities aside from the relationships with the people around me. I am currently enrolled in 4 AP classes and am earning a 3.7 GPA. In the past, I have participated in volleyball, basketball, water polo, track and field, school plays and a number of clubs at Tahoma. My interests include reading, writing, and drawing. I attended a mission trip to Nicaragua last year and have seen my appreciation for the things I have increased exponentially. Any donations help so please support me in my second journey to Nicaragua!

Corner of Love is excited to invite you to serve on our June 18-25 summer mission with the COL Northwest/California Hassmann Chapter. This team will work in mobile medical clinics, distribute clothing, fit patients for eyeglasses, pray with Nicaraguans, and help as many as 3,000 people during the one week trip. Volunteers will help work at numerous stations, like pharmacy, height & weight, and Rx explanation, while helping Corner of Love support small churches in rural communities surrounding San Ramon (Matagalpa). One day of clinic will also be carried out at our own facility, Plaza de Bondad on La Lima River (one kilometer from our Quinta where teams sleep). As always, we do NOT only need healthcare professionals, we also need general volunteers who will help count pills and vitamins, organize the clinics, sort shoes and donations, and run the activities. We have many jobs like making goodie bags, sorting toys, and recording stats that do not require healthcare knowledge.
