Team Take Point Gives Back | Hinkhouse Jungle Gym Build
Organized by: Take Point
We should never forget the ongoing sacrifices that our warriors and their familes make everyday.
Whilst serving his country in Iraq, Kade Hinkhouse was severely injured when his vehicle was struck by an Improvised Explosive Device. His team mate was killed instantly and Kade sustained several injuries including a right leg amputation, two collapsed lungs, a severe skull fracture resulting in a traumatic brain injury, hemi-paralysis on the left side of body, and the removal of part of Kade's skull. He was transported to Germany then home to the United States, where Kade was put in a drug induced coma for three weeks. When he woke up, he was completely paralyzed on the left side of his body, and spent the next 2 years at Walter Reed hospital learning how to walk again. In order to rebuild his life Kade began studying and recently graduated from gun smithing school. His wife Becky has been his rock, supporting him since his injury. The family now lives in Elizabeth, CO with their beautiful two year old girl Zoe.
Little Zoe is growing up fast so we decided to step in and make a difference in this deserving family's life.
TAKE POINT will be organising the construction of a CedarWorks jungle gym to to be built by local volunteers and donated to the Hinkhouse family just in time for Spring!
Joining us are a dedicated group of professionals from Modus Law firm (yes that's right, solicitors are giving back, and so should you) as well as some awesome local community volunteers.
The day will conclude with a reveal ceremony where neighbours and other gracious volunteer will celebrate in the spirit of community and giving.
