BENEFITING: JUST FOOD INC
Help Just Food bring good food within reach for a family in need.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) connects New Yorkers to fresh and delicious local food while providing a financial anchor for small farms throughout the region. CSAs also build community, bringing neighbors together to celebrate the weekly harvest.
Help us ensure every New Yorkers’ right to fresh, local produce, regardless of income.
“Over the past seven years, I have learned that the value of CSA goes far beyond a bag a vegetables. CSA means community, health, friendship, education, and activism--and it must be avaliable for all.” says Terri White, Crown Heights Farm Share Coordinator.
“Thanks to supporters like you, Just Food has helped groups like Crown Heights Farm Share make CSA a reality for our entire community. We offer flexible payment options and subsidies to New Yorkers who could not otherwise afford a share. Just Food has made a difference in my community of Crown Heights and in neighborhoods all over New York City.”
About the Just Share Campaign:
In many NYC neighborhoods, CSA is the most affordable way to procure fresh, organic, locally grown food. In some areas, it is the only way.
For a family with a limited food budget, CSA can be a great option -- if we can make sure it's accessible.
Just Food created Just Share, an initiative that lowers the price of CSA membership, to meet this need.
