THE STORY:

On February 23, my son and I came home to find our door open. Thinking that our beloved dog Jax ran away we set out to look for him. We later found Jax in our home lying dead in a pool of his own blood. There were no signs of trauma, no puncture wounds nothing to indicate that he had been sick. I immediately called the police and my daughter for support. When the police arrived they examine the dog and the house. They stated that since there was no forced entry they could not consider it a crime scene. One officer even said that it was just a dog. I tried to contact various people to come and examine Jax to tell me what happened to him. I received no response. I then proceeded in contacting the nearest humane society to ask their advice and assistance. They informed me that they could do a free X-ray as long as I could get him there. Since I don't have a vehicle, my son borrowed a vehicle a took the day off work to bring him. After almost a week and several phone calls I received some news. The results were no broken bones, fractures or foreign objects that he ingested. No were there any other abnormalities. They also informed me that they could no longer help me but that I could send him for an autopsy at the university if Guelph. Here is my dilemma: the university is willing to examine Jax but for a fee of roughly 2000. There is also the cost of getting him there for which I need to use a courrier. Once they examine Jax he can no longer return home unless there is a personal cremation service who will be picking him up. There is another fee for it is important to me that he come home. I miss him terribly. He was my best friend and like a brother to my son. It is very important to both of us that we find out what happened to Jax for his death was unexpected and very odd. Jax was a 1 year and 4 month old King shepherd and chocolate lab cross. He loved to play, loved his bath and water and got along so well with my granddaughter who misses him terribly. One of her first word was Jass since she couldn't pronounce the "x". I strongly believe that someone came into my home with intent to rob us and killed Jax in the process or someone came in here with the intent to kill my baby. Please help us find out the truth about Jax. Help us to get peace of mind, closure and justice for Jax
