BENEFITING: LIV LIFE FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jan 12, 2013
This year I decided that I was going to lose weight and get healthier. One of the things that I've decided to do is to run a half marathon at Disney World with my sisters. As this is a selfish endeavor to benefit myself I've decided to try and do something positive. Through some of my longer training runs I draw on inspiration to keep going by thinking about 2 very special little ladies and thinking about the challenges they have and will face. Since I cannot find any site that allows you to split donations between charities I've had to start 2 pages. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. If you decide to donate it would be awesome if you could split whatever you are able to give between the 2 charities.
My cousin's daughter Livia is a beautiful little girl who has been diagnosed with MPS or Sanfilippo Syndrome. This is a genetic error of metabolism for which there is no cure or treatment.
Children who have Sanfilippo Syndrome may experience some of the following
Insistent need to chew
GI upset causing diarrhea
Loss of mobility
Upper respiratory infections
loss of life. Life expectancy is 10-20 years
