On July 23rd, I'll be running 16th Siskiyou Out Back Trail Run (The SOB)! The 50k begins and ends at the Mt. Ashland Lodge at an altitude of 6500 feet. From there the courses meander along the Pacific Crest Trail with breathtaking views of Mt. Shasta, Mt McLaughlin, and the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges. The total course elevation for the 50K is about 4200 feet.
I hope you will join us for a great day of celebrating not only the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, but also those who are in need of prosthetic services throughout the world. Individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthetic.
These are some ways in which your donation can help a patient in need of prosthetic care:
$25 - Materials for a custom plastic below the knee prosthetic socket
$50 - Materials for a custom carbon fiber below the knee prosthetic socket
$75 - Materials for a plastic above knee prosthetic socket
$100 - Materials for a carbon fiber above the knee prosthetic socket
$250 - New or replacement silicone liner
$500 - Full Prosthesis (leg or arm)
$1000 - High impact foot or knee
ROMP is a global non-profit/for-impact healthcare organization dedicated to providing prosthetic and orthotic care to those without access to these services. ROMP believes that prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces are not simply medical devices, but instruments of personal empowerment. Individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but rather a missing prosthesis.
