Send Justin to the VEX Robotics World Championship in KY
Organized by: Ronnie Belarmino
EVENT DATE Apr 24, 2016
VEX Robotics is an integrated program designed to enrich and enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses within the educational system. It allows teachers and educators to seamlessly help students master the fundamentals of robotics and the engineering design process, while simultaneously learning to program using industry-leading software and implement state of the art classroom robotics solutions.
It's been an exciting season of robotics for the 2015-16 school year. We've seen students from all over the world create some of the most incredible machines for this year's VEX Robotics Competition, "Nothing But Net!" And Justin and his team, 507-B, of Otay Ranch High School have been no exception. Following a highly competitive and challenging year, they've deservedly earned the privilege to represent their school, state and country on the international stage of VEX's World Championship Competition in Louisville, Kentucky!
The road to World's has produced both highs and lows, but with the gracious assistance of many parents, teachers and mentors, Justin and Team 507-B have managed to find a way to win and prove themselves a formidable force in the hunt for the coveted title of World Champions. Now... he needs YOUR help.
Please join me in supporting him as together with his teammates they lead the charge to bring home the world trophy to Otay Ranch High School (ORHS). Unlike many private or charter schools engaged in robotics programs, ORHS is a public school which receives no funding to support these important STEM integrated curriculums. All program financing is subsidized almost exclusively by parent booster groups and fundraisers. Any contribution you could make to this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated and certainly make a "World" of difference to these young people.
Justin and his team thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration!
